Samanyu Sureka is Kolkata’s rising Kickboxing star. The teenager, who will be appearing for Std. X Board Exam from a popular city school, had made India proud at the recently held (15 – 19 Oct., 2025) ISKA AMA World Championship at Brisbane, Australia. This tournament is sanctioned by International Sports Kickboxing Association (ISKA) – USA organised by ISKA Australia. 1400 participants took part in this tournament from 42 countries. Out of 11 participants representing India Samanyu, our very own Kolkata boy has outshone others. He won 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
Team coach and ISKA National Director Mr. Mrityunjoy Roy was present at the felicitation of Samanyu Sureka at Kolkata Press Club on 4th November. He had trained for two months regularly for the said tournament for 2 hours everyday under the able guidance of his Coach.
Samanyu plans to continue this Sport in future also, along with studies.
