The MP Birla Planetarium became the centre of literary and academic discussion as the Acharya Dinesh Chandra Sen Research Society, India, organized a special programme marking the 159th birth anniversary of the celebrated scholar and folklorist Acharya Dinesh Chandra Sen.
The event featured a discussion meeting, the Lifetime Achievement Award 2025 ceremony, and the release of a new Bengali novel.

Each awardee was felicitated amid warm applause, highlighting their long-standing commitment to society.
New Novel ‘Virudhak’ Released
A major highlight of the day was the release of ‘Virudhak’, the latest novel by Abhijit Barua of Chittagong.
The book launch drew the presence of eminent dignitaries, including renowned scientist Dr. Arup Mitra, Prof. Dr. Manbendranath Saha of Visva-Bharati’s Bengali Department, Dr. Amalkanti Roy, former Joint Secretary, Government of West Bengal, and several other literary and academic figures.
Graceful Conduct of the Ceremony
The programme was thoughtfully moderated and conducted by Debkanya Sen, General Secretary of the ACDR Society, along with Dr. Bimal Kumar Thandar, Vice-President of the Society and Associate Professor at Kabi Joydev College.
