On 1st Nov., Swami Shailendra Saraswati-ji held a brief seminar on peace and harmony at Kolkata PRESS CLUB. It was attended by scores of his devotees and dignitaries from various sectors of the society.

Hundreds of Osho lovers, sannyasins and seekers gathered on 2nd Nov. at Mewar Banquet Hall, Downtown Mall, Salt Lake, to attend a Meditation Satsang led by Osho’s brother and renowned meditation master Swami Shailendra Saraswati.
The theme of the Satsang was — “Effects of Meditation in Life: Balance, Health, Peace and Spiritual Joy.”
Swamiji said: “Meditation is not merely the act of sitting still; it is a new way of living. It brings you to your centre, from where every aspect of life becomes balanced and beautiful.”
Key Points of the Discourse:-
1. Balance in Life: Swamiji explained that meditation anchors a person in the present- “When the mind is free from worries of the past and future, true balance emerges.”
This steadiness clarifies decisions and transforms reactions into conscious responses.
2. Physical Health: “Stress and anxiety are the biggest enemies of the body; meditation is their antidote.”
Regular meditation regulates blood pressure, enhances vitality, and allows life energy to flow freely.
3. Mental Peace: The mind is constantly tangled in thoughts. Meditation introduces one to the silence that is always present within.
“When you descend into silence, you realize you are peace.”
4. Heartful Growth: Meditation opens the heart, awakening compassion and love.
“True love arises only when the mind is calm and the heart is open.” Through meditation, one learns acceptance and harmony in relationships.
5. Spiritual Bliss: “The ultimate fruit of meditation is inner bliss — not dependent on anything external, but rooted in the awareness within.” This joy is lasting because it is the nature of existence, not a state of mind.
Swamiji on Osho’s Vision – “No God, but Godliness”:-
“God is not a person but a presence. Through meditation, one experiences that divinity within. Godliness exists as love, compassion, and consciousness in every being — awakening it is the essence of practice.”
Swamiji on Osho’s Vision – “No Religion, but Religiousness”:- “True religion lies not in any institution or scripture, but in awareness itself. Meditation frees one from rigid traditions and leads to a living religiousness — where every moment is lived in love and mindfulness.”
Q&A and Meditation Session:- After the discourse, participants asked questions on life and spirituality, which Swamiji answered with depth and simplicity. The event concluded with a group meditation session, where seekers experienced profound inner peace and joy.
Swami Shailendra Saraswati’s Message: “Meditation is not an act — it is the most beautiful state of life. When you are aware, you are not only peaceful but filled with love and bliss.”
