West Bengal State Sub-Junior, Junior, Senior and Masters (Men & Women) Classic Powerlifting Championship 2024 was organized by “Kadam Fit and Fine, Baruipur”.
The event was managed by Baruipur Pulakita Samaj and supported by Powerlift Association.
Special guests included renowned sociologist Tapas Kumar Dey (President of NGO Welfare Association), Baruipur Municipality Mayor Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Ujjal Mukherjee (CID Officer),
Sudarshan Das (Asst. Director, DC Handicrafts), International &
Nationally acclaimed powerlifters,
Asian and Commonwealth Champions and others.
More than a hundred competitors, both men and women, from various places took part in this mega event. Social worker Tapas Kumar Dey said in his speech, “The way the negative aggression of digital media is imprisoning the youth in mobile, computer or TV, sports and sports-centric initiatives are a special solution to such international disaster.”
The three-day grand event from December 27 to December 29 ended with the vote of thanks by the Convenor, Nivedita Bhanj.
