Tarakeshwar Book Fair was held on December 25 – 31 at Tarakeshwar Maha Vidyalaya premises (2nd year).
It was organized by Kalam Sahitya Patrika.
Among the chief officials of the event were Book Fair Committee Secretary Supriya Banerjee, Poet and Book Fair Patron Dipankar Porel.
Eminent poet and writer Dr. Swapan Kumar Nath was the Chief Inaugurator of the event, along with President of the event Shri Renupada Ghosh (a distinguished educationist and teacher of Hooghly district), and the Guests of Honour were Kamal Uddin Mahaday (Principal of Hingalganj Mahavidyalaya) and poet Gautam Chattopadhyay.
Soumi Ghosh, the lead singer of Star Jalsa and the pride of Tarakeshwar, was present as a special guest.
A total of fifty publications had set up stalls at the event.
Various cultural programs were held during Tarakeshwar Book Fair.
