

Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, President of Pragyan Foundation, was conferred with the prestigious “Vedanta Ratna” Award by the World Vedanta Society at a distinguished ceremony held at the Press Club, Kolkata, on December 11, 2025.
Dr. S.K. Agarwal was felicitated by Dr. Asok Ray (renowned gynaecologist) and LION Magnate Sovan Chakraborty (Officer at the Consulate General of Mongolia) in the presence of several eminent personalities from the fields of medicine, academia, diplomacy, entrepreneurship, sports and culture, lending dignity and significance to the occasion. Among those present were Prof. Dr. Ranjini Dutta (Head of Department, Dietetics – KPC Medical College), Dr. Kaushik Dasgupta (entrepreneur and cricket coach based in Australia), Dr. Romi Ray (eminent paediatrician) and Mrs. Ranu Roy (noted filmmaker).
The honour was bestowed in recognition of his outstanding and sustained contribution to the study, propagation and preservation of Vedanta, as well as for his exemplary scholarship, spiritual leadership, and dedicated service towards the revival and dissemination of India’s spiritual heritage.
While accepting the honour, Dr. Suresh Agarwal expressed his deep gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment to the timeless wisdom of Vedanta. He emphasized the relevance of Vedantic philosophy in addressing contemporary challenges and nurturing inner harmony, ethical living, and universal brotherhood.
The program concluded with thoughtful deliberations on Vedantic values and their role in modern society, making the event a memorable and inspiring celebration of India’s rich spiritual legacy.
