The Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD), Kolkata Chapter, successfully inaugurated the 7th Eastern India Regional Conference (EIRC) & Exhibition at the iconic Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, New Town. The two-day event brings together experts, professionals, and thought leaders to explore evolving trends in sustainability, technology, and human-centric growth.
This year’s theme — “Sustainable Human-Centric Growth through Technology in a Dynamic Business World” — reflects the growing importance of aligning innovation with people-focused development in an ever-changing corporate landscape. The conference aims to emphasise the synergy between sustainability, technological advancement, human development, and business excellence.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by an impressive lineup of dignitaries, including distinguished political leaders Purnendu Basu, Dola Sen, and Dr. Humayun Kabir. Renowned cricket administrator Snehasish Ganguly, along with prominent educationists, HR leaders, and technocrats, also marked their presence, adding stature to the occasion.
Addressing the media, ISTD National President Atul Shah, ISTD Kolkata Chairperson Rahul Bose, National Past President Dr. Nataraj Ray, and M.K. Barman (Chairman of the Organizing Committee & Regional Vice-President, ISTD Kolkata) highlighted the significance of fostering continuous learning and development in the Eastern region.
Also present were Hony. Secretary Kausambi Chakraborty and senior ISTD members Sukrit Shome, Sudip Chakraborty, Prakash Chakraborty, along with delegates from various ISTD chapters, underscoring the collaborative spirit of the event.
The conference continues with panel discussions, exhibitions, and knowledge-sharing sessions designed to inspire organizations to adopt sustainable, technology-driven, and human-centric strategies for future growth.
