Renowned Advocate and social activist Mita Banerjee, associated with the Calcutta High Court, once again brought pride to India by representing the nation at an international platform. On 29th December, she represented the Indian contingent as a Keynote Speaker at the SARC (South Asian Regional Countries) Cultural Summit, held at the Bharat–Nepal Maitri Bhavan, Kathmandu.
The prestigious summit was organized by the Bharat–Nepal Maitri Forum and witnessed the participation of eminent dignitaries and foreign delegates from various countries. In the august presence of Hon’ble Shri Madhav Kumar Nepal, former Prime Minister of Nepal, Advocate Shri Harendra Ray Yadav, Dr. Rajib Pal, and several international representatives, Advocate Mita Banerjee was formally felicitated for her outstanding contribution to society and diplomacy.
Known for her fearlessness, integrity, and unwavering commitment to justice, Advocate Mita Banerjee has earned widespread respect as a legal professional and humanitarian. Her work consistently reflects her dedication to protecting the rights of the underprivileged and addressing sensitive diplomatic and social issues with clarity and courage.
During the summit, she delivered a powerful address on pressing global concerns such as religious discrimination, women’s safety, social corruption, animal abuse, and social injustice. Her strong and principled views received wide appreciation from the audience and delegates alike.
Notably, this recognition adds to her illustrious international profile, as she has earlier represented India three times at the United Nations General Assembly in various countries.
