Food brand ‘Swade Ahlade’ organised the Bani Bandana Samman 2026 award ceremony on Saturday afternoon at the Press Club Kolkata, celebrating creativity and excellence associated with Saraswati Puja celebrations.
At the event, awards comprising cash prizes, certificates, and trophies were presented to the top three Saraswati Puja organising committees. Additionally, seven other puja committees received consolation awards in appreciation of their innovative and visually appealing puja presentations.
Alongside the puja awards, ‘Swade Ahlade’ also honoured several eminent personalities with special recognitions under the Bani Bandana Samman 2026. The awardees included Nandini Bhattacharya, Founder Director of the All Bengal Men’s Forum; Pranati Saha, Deputy Superintendent of Police, CID West Bengal; actress Sangeeta Das; Sweta Mishra; and nutritionist Anushree Mitra.
This year, the organisers went a step further by presenting the winning puja committees not only with cash prizes and certificates but also commemorative mementos and 1-litre pouches of mustard oil from ‘Swade Ahlade’ as special gifts.
Addressing the gathering, Gautam Sutradhar, Senior Marketing Officer of ‘Swade Ahlade’, announced that Beleghata 33 Pally secured the first prize with a cash award of Rs. 10,000, followed by Young Boys Amra Sobai, which received Rs. 7,000 for second place, and Pubali Natun Club, which was awarded Rs. 5,000 for third place.
The ceremony was attended by special guests Mr. Nabarun, Mousumi, and Jalili Das, making the occasion memorable and meaningful.
