On February 23rd, Sur Lahari Nritayan, a renowned dance academy located in Bangur, hosted a One Day MANIPURI Dance Orientation Program, organized by Ratnamani Jhumur Ghosh. The event was designed to introduce participants to the rich traditions of the Manipuri dance form, and saw an enthusiastic participation of 35 students from various age groups.
The workshop was led by the highly respected dance expert, Smt. Gouri Dutta, who brought her expertise and passion for the art to the students. She was supported by her talented disciples, Mohini Naskar and Arkaja Baisya, who assisted in guiding the attendees throughout the session.
Following the workshop, all participants were awarded Orientation Certificates by Sur Lahari Nritayan’s Founder, Jhumur Ghosh, acknowledging their involvement and dedication. In a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, Ratnamani Jhumur Ghosh also received the prestigious LCSF Special Book, presented by Asish Basak, the Editor-Director of HELLO KOLKATA, for her unwavering commitment to promoting dance and culture.
