On the evening of 11 January, a landmark felicitation ceremony was organized by the International Media Guild (IMG) at the Press Club, Kolkata, to honour internationally acclaimed social influencer Shri Nagathihalli Ramesh of Karnataka.
Shri Nagathihalli Ramesh is widely recognized as a poet, thinker, creator of short films and musical albums, social and political activist, and agriculturist. His multifaceted contributions to society, culture, and creative expression have earned him international acclaim.
During the ceremony, Shri Ramesh was felicitated with a range of prestigious honours, including a traditional Bengali-stitched shawl, Lions Club of Kolkata Magnates pin, memento, plaque bearing the Ashoka Stambha, a ceremonial bell from Thailand, an Adiyogi Shiva statuette, a unique clock from Germany, and a copy of the book “Let’s Start One More Time” authored by noted social influencer Asish Basak.
The event witnessed the presence of several eminent personalities, including renowned singer Dr. Dipa Das (World Record holder for 100 Nazrul Geetis), acclaimed alternative therapist Dr. Suresh Agarwal (Chairman, Pragyan Foundation), Rotary Club of Kasba advisors Pranati Saha, Basu Deo Agarwal, and Rupa Dutta Chowdhury, writer Pitambar Barik (Vice-President, Utkal Shiksha Samsad, Kolkata), Siddharth Gangopadhyay (President, Universal Soul Tree Foundation), veteran singer Srikanto Ghosh, management educator Dipak Dikshit, along with several media personalities.
The International Media Guild, guided by its core theme “Connecting All…”, works towards recognizing and honouring talents across all fields, with special emphasis on the awareness of rights and the welfare of media professionals. In line with this vision, IMG periodically felicitates outstanding achievers for their exemplary contributions to society.
As part of this initiative, the ‘IMG International Inspiring Role Model Excellence Award’ was conferred on 11 January at the Press Club, Kolkata. This year, the prestigious award was titled ‘Deshbandhu–Netaji Prashasti Purashkar’, symbolizing the luminous legacy of India’s immortal sons—Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
Led by Founder-Chairperson Asish Basak, the officials of International Media Guild presented the award to Shri N. Ramesh in recognition of his outstanding achievements, unparalleled leadership qualities, philanthropic spirit, creative pursuits, and his sustained, selfless dedication to the holistic development of society.
Expressing his gratitude, Shri Ramesh remarked that he deeply values and aspires to carry forward the rich cultural and social traditions of India, especially those of Karnataka and Bengal.
