Empowering Agri-Entrepreneurs: A Landmark MSME-FPC Development Program in Kolkata

In a decisive move to promote grassroots entrepreneurship, the Entrepreneurship Development Program for Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), agri-businesses and fisheries-based enterprises was successfully held at the iconic seminar hall of MSME/DFO, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, located at 103 B.T. Road, Kolkata (Biratnagar).

Organized by MSME-DFO Kolkata, Govt Of India in collaboration with the National Chamber of Cottage and Small Industries (NCCSI) and supported by the All India Welfare Association, the program was seamlessly managed by Sadhan Satya Welfare Trust (SSWT).

Among the many inspiring stories, Mr. Debasish Maity stood out as a symbol of resilience and hope. Despite being 80% specially-abled and dependent on a wheelchair, Mr. Maity has become a beacon of empowerment in the Animal Husbandry sector. With exceptional grit, he has trained and mentored over 100 small agri-entrepreneurs, enabling them to become self-reliant. His story moved the audience deeply and stood as a living testimony that physical limitations are no barrier to impactful leadership and rural transformation. NCCSI has been honoured through bestowing Life Time Membership to Mr. Maity

Live product showcased by five innovators, which drew acclaim and recorded high-volume on-the-spot sales

Extensive positive feedback from participants, many of whom left with a clear entrepreneurial roadmap and newfound confidence
