The College Street area of Kolkata witnessed an unforgettable evening on Sunday, as Hindu School’s alumni gathered for their annual reunion festival. The event, organized by the school’s alumni association, saw the presence of key figures including President Dr. Sukumar Mukherjee, Headmaster of Hindu School, along with notable alumni such as Shri Subhrajit Dutta, Vice President Shri Tapas Chakraborty, Secretary Shri Amitabh Sen, and Joint Secretary Shri Siddharth Roy.
The reunion was marked by a warm welcome from Joint Secretary Shri Siddharth Mukherjee, who urged all alumni present to become actively involved in the association’s activities. He highlighted the alumni office’s open hours, which are every Thursday afternoon from 5.30 pm to 7 pm, encouraging members to participate and contribute to the school’s ongoing initiatives.
The evening also featured speeches from distinguished alumni including Partha Sarathi Das (Class of 1964), Gautam Maulik (Class of 1976), Arpan Bagh (Class of 2024), and Kaushik Das (Class of 2023). Their heartfelt words reflected the lasting impact the school has had on their lives and the bond they share with one another.
A special highlight of the event was the performance by renowned musician Shri Indranil Bandopadhyay, whose soul-stirring songs captivated the audience. His melodious voice resonated throughout the gathering, earning him much admiration and applause.
The event was expertly conducted by Shri Rajarshi Roy, who ensured that everything ran smoothly. The reunion came to a dignified close with the singing of the national anthem, bringing the community of Hindu School alumni together in a moment of unity and pride.
Around 100 alumni attended the festival, marking a successful and heartwarming celebration of the legacy of Hindu School.
