An evening of fun, dinner and dancing.
Any school is known for its alumni and the same is true for South Point High School.
The alumni members are spread across the globe. Professors at MIT, IIT, IIM, Oxford, Cambridge and other Ivy League colleges, numerous doctors and engineers engaged in the service of society, acclaimed writers, film directors of national repute, sportspersons – including two grandmasters in chess, scientists, Bhatnagar awardees and even a Nobel laureate.
As the representative body of South Point alumni, ASPEXS aims to provide a platform for interaction among the alumni who have passed out from this institution for over 70+ years, while also contributing to other social welfare initiatives.
The association organizes various activities in the fields of entertainment, cultural, sports for its members.
The members of ASPEXS Care Wing provide companionship to their retired teachers, along with medical, psychological and sometimes financial support.
ASPEXS organizes medical camps from time to time for the benefit of the former and present staff of the school.
One of the most awaited events in ASPEXS’s annual calendar is its annual reunion dinner and dance.
This event has been regularly attended by over 1500 alumni and their families.
This year, Rendezvous 2025 will be held on Saturday, 11th January 2025 at the Eastern Metropolitan Club, Kolkata in association with The Telegraph.
In this era of virtual meetings and connectivity through social media platforms, the annual get-together gives us the unique opportunity to relive our old days with those we grew up with.
Against this backdrop, ASPEXS is delighted to announce the biggest annual get-together for Pointers across generations in celebration of our camaraderie.
Continuing the tradition of adding new flavours to the event every year, this year’s reunion promises to give you an electrifying experience.
The event will begin with ‘Haso Aur Hasya Karo’ – a magical dance and music performance by X-Pointers.
This will be followed by live performances by Arko Mukherjee and celebrity DJ Harish.
The idea is to celebrate the best times of the school and relive the memories.
A special celebration was organised for the batches of 1999 and 1974 to celebrate 50 and 25 years of passing out from the school batch respectively.
While 2025 marks the 70th birth anniversary of South Point School, it is also the 30th year of ASPEXS’ existence.
