South Point Ex-Students Association (ASPEXS) is all set to hold its much-awaited annual reunion dinner and dance, Rendezvous 2025, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Eastern Metropolitan Club, Kolkata. The grand event, an exclusive gathering for South Point alumni, is expected to be attended by over 1,500 alumni and their families, and will be organised in association with The Telegraph.
ASPEXS, the global alumni body of South Point High School, has consistently provided a platform for interaction, a space for its members to reconnect as well as support social initiatives. The alumni network, spanning across professions such as education, medicine, engineering, sports, science, literature and entertainment, includes eminent personalities such as professors from reputed universities, Nobel laureates, acclaimed authors, sports celebrities and more.
The upcoming reunion is expected to be a great celebration of memories, camaraderie and school spirit. As a special highlight this year, ASPEXS will honour two milestone batches – the Class of 1999, which is celebrating 50 years of graduation, and the Class of 1974, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
The evening promises to be full of exciting performances, starting with the dance and music show Hanso Aur Hansaao Karo by alumni, followed by live performances by renowned artist Arko Mukherjee and celebrity DJ Harish. The event will provide a perfect blend of nostalgia, fun and entertainment, allowing the alumni to relive their school days.
2025 holds great significance for the South Point community as it is not only the 70th anniversary of the school but also the 30th year of ASPEXS. This dual celebration makes Rendezvous 2025 unforgettable for all.
Apart from socialising and entertainment, ASPEXS is also deeply involved in the welfare of its alumni and teachers. Through its Care wing, the association provides emotional, medical and financial support to retired teachers, and regularly organises medical camps for school staff.
With this year’s reunion, ASPEXS continues its tradition of fostering a strong sense of belonging and togetherness, ensuring that past students can create even more memories while cherishing the old ones.
