





“Marwari community is prosperous, but unity is needed”: Hon. MLA Vivek Gupta commented during his short speech at the Foundation Day celebrations of Maha All India Marwari Federation.

Speaking as the Chief Guest at the Maha All India Marwari Sammelan’s foundation day at the GD Birla Auditorium, Jorasanko MLA Vivek Gupta congratulated the Sammelan on its new beginnings and said that the Marwari community is prosperous, and it just needs to be united. There is considerable fragmentation within the Marwari community, and this fragmentation must be brought together. There is a contradiction between the old and new generations, and for the benefit of society, the coming generation must be brought together.
Vivek Gupta said, “I am also a Marwari, this is my identity and will remain so. I face some challenges, which is why Marwaris are considered weak.”
He praised the efforts of Kishan Killa, National General Secretary of the Maha All India Marwari Federation, and said that the Sammelan’s campaign to unite the community is commendable. We are all ready to help in every possible way. There is a need to move society towards a new future.
In his Presidential address, Maha All India Marwari Federation’s National President, Bhagwati Prasad Kedia, outlined the organization’s objectives and activities.
The program began with the lighting of a lamp by the special guests like MLA Vivek Gupta, Jugal Kishore Saraf, Bhagwati Prasad Kedia, Lalit Sarawagi Jain, Advocates Ashok Dhandhaniya, Santosh Raj Purohit, Dr. Suresh Agarwal and Sudhanshu Shekhar, who were welcomed and felicitated with shawls and turbans. Prominent industrialists and social workers were present at the event. Delivering the welcome address, the organization’s National General Secretary, Kishan Killa, stated that efforts are underway to unite a fragmented society. The organization will work with determination. The organization has set its goal to establish traditions, culture, and prosperity. We aim to create a new history.

In the next part of the program, representatives from 18 different top-notch organizations in and around the city—including Shri Vishuddhananda Hospital, Shri Barabazar Lohapatti Seva Samiti, Salt Lake Shiksha Sadan, Alambazar Shyam Mandir, Rachnakar, Samarpan Trust, Alliance Club International, Maa Vaishno Devi Bhakt Mandal, Ram Sharad Kothari Smriti Sangh, Agrasen Seva Samiti, Howrah, Porta Bazaar Merchants Association, Wah! Zindagi, Bharatiya Sanskriti Sanvardhan Samiti, Agarwal Seva Samaj, Singhi Bagan, Shri Ram Seva Samiti Doost, Giriraj Parmarth Seva Trust, Prem Milan, Kolkata and Pragyan Foundation—were honored with the Outstanding Service Award.
Among the invited poets, Ajay Anjam, Gaurav Chauhan, Padmini Sharma and Keshar Dev Marwari’s poems captivated the audience, and the entire auditorium enjoyed the Kavi Sammelan organized by Maha All India Marwari Federation.
A documentary film, “Woh Zindagi Ka,” on the history, goals, achievements, and future plans of the Marwari community was presented by Latit Sarawagi.
AU Finance Bank also played a special role in the successful organization of the event.
