A vibrant musical evening titled “My Words, My Songs” (আমার কথা আমার গান) was hosted at Uttam Mancha, celebrating the rich cultural essence of Bengal. The event was conceptualized and organized by noted singer-lyricist Sanjay Chattopadhyay, whose body of work includes over 150 Bengali songs across diverse moods.
The programme opened with soulful performances by popular singer Jhumki Sen, who enthralled the audience with both duet renditions alongside Sanjay and solo numbers. Ranabir Das captivated listeners with a selection of Bengali songs, while Piali Das added a theatrical touch with an engaging sruti-natak presentation.
The evening aimed to uphold and celebrate the enduring spirit of ‘Bangaliana’, highlighting Bengal’s musical and cultural heritage through original compositions and expressive performances.
Business entrepreneur Rudra Sen, in his Vote of Thanks, appreciated the efforts behind the event and expressed hope for more such cultural programmes that continue to inspire and entertain Bengalis and all lovers of Bengali culture.
