In a grand celebration of service and dedication, the LIONS CLUB OF CALCUTTA hosted a Mega Awards Ceremony on the evening of June 14th at the prestigious Royal Bengal Room, Salt Lake. The event, titled “LIONISTIC Salute”, aimed to honor the proactive and committed members of the Model and Sapphire Club who have played a pivotal role in the club’s remarkable growth and achievements during the 2024-25 session.
The event was steered by the club’s dynamic executive leadership: President LION Ramesh Kumar Chokhani, Secretary LION Jeetendra Rampuria, and Treasurer LION Devendra Bajoria. Their visionary direction has been instrumental in the club’s sustained success and rising influence.
Gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest was Hon. District 322B1 Governor LION Saloni Salvi, while PDG LIONS Anand Chopra, Kedarnath Gupta, and Babulal Banka attended as Guests of Honour. The event also welcomed a distinguished lineup of Special Guests, including 1st VDG LION Pramil Rungta, Cabinet Secretary LION Vineeta Jhunjhunwala, Cabinet Treasurer LION Ankit Gupta, Deputy CS Indrani Roychowdhury, and several other senior LIONS who have long been pillars of the LIONISTIC movement.
The awards ceremony was seamlessly conducted by Past President LION Vijay Saraogi, in collaboration with the PST Team. The evening saw Attendance Awards presented to 75 dedicated LIONS, Appreciation Awards to 55 outstanding members, and Excellence Awards to 26 exemplary LIONS, all recognized for their unwavering dedication and inspiring service.
With a robust strength of 337 members, LIONS CLUB OF CALCUTTA continues to shine as a beacon of community service and excellence. President LION Ramesh Chokhani proudly acknowledged the consistent contributions of every member throughout the year, reinforcing the club’s status as a true Model Club in the LIONS fraternity.
The evening concluded with a gala dinner, fostering camaraderie, celebration, and renewed commitment to the values of Lionism.
