The 76th International Human Rights Day was organized at the Bangiya Sahitya Parishad Hall in Jangipara on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Like every year, this year too, this event was organized by the Jangipara Block Human Rights Organization and Jangipara Agradut Janasathi Welfare Society. This year, a special first-year magic and magician festival 24 was started by this human rights organization and Jangipara Agradut Janasathi Welfare Society with magicians from all over India. Human rights awareness programs were organized through talking puppet shows and magic. In addition, winter clothes, mosquito nets and mahogany trees were distributed to the needy people on behalf of the human rights organization to protect the environment. Officials from various human rights organizations were present. Prominent human rights activists including Dev Ranjan Biswas, Bharati Devi, Ashok Kumar Porel, Anisul Haque were present on behalf of the human rights organization. Also present were 120 magicians from all over India. Honorable magicians from the states of Odisha, Assam, Jharkhand, Agartala, Bihar as well as magicians from various districts of West Bengal such as Malda, Murshidabad, South and North 24 Parganas, Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly, Nadia, Purba Medinipur, Paschim Medinipur. Eminent journalist and magician Panchanan Ghoshal was present. International magician Shuvrangshu Chakraborty, Bhanu Motir Khel Sira’s famous Jan Sarkar, also magicians S.BABU, Mrityunjay Haldar, Sukumar Dev, Diamond, J.P. BANERJEE, S.LAL, Tapan Ojha and other eminent people were present. The two competitions of the magic show were junior and senior. Arijit and S.LAL Mahashay secured the first place respectively. Jangipara Police Station Officer Kalyan Babu and other ranking officers were present at the evening award ceremony. In addition, a trophy and certificate of appreciation were presented to Jangipara Police Station by the human rights organization and Jangipara Agradoot Janasathi Welfare Society for preventing noise pollution. The president of the society, Jharna Singh Mahasaya, was present on the stage. The program started from 9 am to 9 pm.
